about
Searching and expression of nature magnificence is one of the most fruitful conceptions. To make it work it's necessary to find natural object or complex of objects and put them in a shape. Musical shape, for example. There are 8 pages in this made of cloth and decorated with feather album — 8 sketches about the world around. Sun beams emerge from behind of childhood haystacks, wet hood of a stranger under drizzling rain — like scenes from Kon Ichikawa movies. However it's only a surface with lazy circles, drifting apart from gentle notes of guitars, synthesizers, tibetan bowls, and female voice. In depths of the album there is a memory, which fragments sometimes form our reality as if they are tangible.
Controlled randomness is compositional basis of the album. Many parts of the tracks appeared from live manipulations in AudioMulch environment, which were collated in sequencer afterwards. Rendered audio from sequencer had been loaded in Mulch again and so on, until the track reached definite level of intensity and, strange as it may seem, simplicity.
Inspired by Thomas Brinkmann's response about magic in the beatless hooks Stanislav Vdovin continues his research in the field of dense sounding with Made Of Cloth And Feather from the point where the album December24 has ended.
